Tawnymeade Enchantress
We are delighted to introduce Enchantress, a beautiful midnight-black daughter of Centurys Lass, born on 30th May 2026.
From the moment she arrived, Enchantress has shown just how independent she is. She was quickly up on her feet and drinking from Mum with ease, and she hasn’t looked back since!
She has a wonderfully inquisitive nature and is always keen to investigate what’s happening around the field. There’s certainly a cheeky little character in there too!
Enchantress has a gorgeous midnight-black fleece, with a beautifully soft and uniform handle that we are really pleased with.
She is already showing plenty of promise, and we are very excited to see how she develops. We’re looking forward to getting her out into the show ring in 2027 and seeing what the future holds for this special girl.

Tawnymeade Evening Storm
“Evie”
We are delighted to introduce Tawnymeade Evening Storm, affectionately known as Evie, born on 20th July 2026 at 9pm.
Alpacas will usually give birth during the morning, allowing their cria plenty of time to dry naturally in the warmth of the sun. Evie, however, clearly had other ideas! Her mum, Aspen, was herself born at 8pm, so perhaps evening births are simply a family tradition.
Evie was a big, strong cria and Aspen’s very first. Aspen proved to be an amazing mum, but Evie had a difficult start. Being born at night made finding the milk bar much harder, as crias naturally tend to seek out darker areas when looking for their mother’s udder.
Evie was a little fighter from the very beginning. At five hours old, she still hadn’t managed to receive that all-important first colostrum from Mum, so thankfully we had powdered colostrum available and were able to bottle-feed her.
By the following morning, we were working hard to help Evie latch on. By late morning, she had finally mastered it and was getting herself on and off Mum. We thought we were over the worst of it.
But by day three, we discovered that Evie was still losing weight rather than gaining it. We began supplementing her with bottle feeds, and thankfully she responded brilliantly. Day by day, she gained weight, strength and confidence, and she has continued to come on in leaps and bounds.
These days, Evie is quite the little character! She often heads over to greet our visitors, clearly hoping that her bottle might be making an appearance. She now happily runs and plays with her little friend Enchantress, and it’s wonderful to see just how far she has come.
And what a fleece she is developing! Evie already has a beautifully soft fleece with a lovely crimp, along with excellent substance of bone. She is certainly giving us plenty to be excited about, and we can’t wait to see how she develops and performs in the 2027 show ring.
Her name, Evening Storm, was chosen because she was born in the evening — but also because her arrival brought quite literally a storm of emotions as we worked through those first crucial hours to make sure she received her colostrum and got the best possible start.
From a challenging beginning to the confident, playful girl she is today, Evie has certainly earned her name.
We are incredibly proud of this little fighter and excited to watch her journey continue.
